In today's economy I couldn't agree more, "For some, self-employment is [your] best chance of income as reliable full-time jobs...become scarce". To win your own work often takes the same energy as it does to find a job. Self-employment is a good alternative to finding a job and can help in the interim until work is secured. It can even help answer that incessant question so often asked of those between jobs, 'so what have you been doing?' Do you have the knowledge and skills to employ yourself? http://www.smh.com.au/small-business/
